Add the ability to re-send payment receipts via the API

In our signup flow we don't ask for e-mail until after charging their credit card, then we backfill their e-mail into their customerin Stripe. Unfortunately, this means the user does not get an e-mail receipt for their first charge.

Can you add an endpoint to the API to trigger sending the payment receipt again?

+1 to this -- my customers sometimes want to get a receipt after the fact, and it would be nice if that didn't require an admin to log into the console.

Bump. Any word if an endpoint will be added to re-send the last payment receipt. We need this.

Sorry for the radio silence on this. We're tracking this as a feature
request, but unfortunately it's not something that I can offer a
timeline for at this stage. We'll share here if we have any updates.

This seems to be available via the dashboard, but it would be great to be able to automate for those customers that want it (e.g. want emails forwarded to a different address).

Hey Andy,

You can call the Update Charge API [1] and pass an email address in the `receipt_email` parameter [1] and it will trigger an email receipt to be sent automatically. The only caveat is that this only works if you update the field and not if you send the same value again but for a new email address it would send a new receipt.
