p4 at high level -newbie question.

Hi List,

I am new to p4. Could you help with below questions ?

 

Is there any Operating system which provides infrastructure support to load P4  program to switch or DPU. I looked at  linux kernel, but could find only netronome patches to load ebpf program (after converting p4 to c and then c to ebpf) and use JIT netronome compiler to load into netronome hw.  This means that each switch vendor provides custom infrastructure in operating system to load the p4 binary ?
