2022-Sep-19 P4.org Portable NIC Architecture meeting

I have no proposed agenda items for today's PNA meeting.  Feel free to suggest items via this email list, or live during the meeting.

Following up a bit from our previous meeting, the PR for ExactMap and TernaryMap externs has led to a discussion of some additions to the P4 language spec that would make it possible to avoid the `_` workaround that is in the current PR.  The idea is that there would be a way to represent "a list of 0 or more items, where each element was a tuple of two elements, where the first element has type K and the second element has type V".

Regarding the discussion on the top level block diagram, and whether there would be one or two of them, I have barely started to discuss this topic one-on-one with a few folks participating in the PNA meetings, so I don't have any news from that effort of mine to share with the group yet.  Maybe one or two weeks from now I may.

Given that it seems that folks from AMD/Xilinx and AMD/Pensando might have a common top-level block diagram they might be able to agree upon, that might be a relatively small change from what is in the current published github.com/p4lang/pna repo, would someone from one of those teams want to propose a PR that makes the changes they would be interested in seeing?

If there are other things people would like to discuss, please bring it up on the p4-arch email list or during a live meeting.
