This online training program is designed for those who are just getting started in their local food systems career, or for those who have experience but want to gain a broader or more complete perspective. The training program is housed at NC State University, and is a partnership between N.C. Cooperative Extension, Clemson Cooperative Extension, and Virginia Cooperative Extension.
All courses are asynchronous, meaning you work through the content at your own pace. Depending on enrollment, we will also be offering at least one optional synchronous session while courses are running, led by course instructors, to help participants network while expanding their knowledge of current local food issues. The date(s) for the synchronous session(s) will be announced after the courses begin.
For more information, including registration, please visit our website (www.localfoodcourses.org) or contact the course coordinators at localf...@ncsu.edu.
*Note for NC Cooperative Extension Agents: we annually offer in the fall semester a combination of all three courses as a Graduate level course (AEHS 554: Introduction to Local Food Systems) offered through the Agricultural Education and Human Sciences program at NC State. State employees can use their tuition waiver for this graduate course. |
