The NC Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) extended deadline is coming up on August 4th: spread the word to help farmers take advantage of this disaster recovery funding!

ECP funding can help cover key farm recovery activities, including

  • Removing debris from farmland

  • Grading, shaping, or leveling land

  • Restoring permanent fences

  • Rebuilding conservation structures and practices

  • Implementing protections for long-term soil and water health

  • Emergency water conservation during severe droughts

ECP funding is available to ALL North Carolina farmers impacted by 2024 storms and natural disasters statewide; all eligibility and application details here.

For farmers who would like an extra hand navigating the recovery process, CFSA’s Disaster Recovery Technical Assistance Program is standing by to help farmers apply to ECP and other recovery funding programs, AND to support rebuilding and future planning processes. At no cost, farmers can work directly with CFSA to assess farm damages, apply for an FSA number if needed, complete funding application paperwork, discuss an individualized recovery strategy, and chart long-term farm sustainability plans! Farmers can complete this short, easy form to sign up for the Disaster Recovery Technical Assistance Program.

Forward this email to any disaster-impacted farmers in your network who could also benefit from this free recovery support opportunity.
