This federal grant supports community-led efforts to address food and nutrition insecurity. Funding is intended for nonprofit, fiscally sponsored organizations or tribal entities working to improve access to healthy, affordable food through both immediate and long-term solutions, such as food distribution, nutrition assistance outreach, community gardens, mobile markets, food-as-medicine programs, land access initiatives, and other strategies that strengthen local food systems and increase community self-reliance.

As the Technical Assistance provider, ISED provides the resources and support you need to apply for this funding opportunity.

What this training will cover:

This is a complicated application and requires thoughtful consideration and skilled grant writing. Join us to dive deeper into the application process, as we offer tips and tricks to writing a competitive grant. We'll break down the Project Narrative componants, advise you on common pitfalls, talk about your application in the context of the current Notice of Funding Opportunity priorities and requirements, and how to navigate the recent executive orders and the newly implemented political review process.
