Join ISED Solutions for this upcoming zoom webinar:
Narrative Power for Community Food Organizations
October 8th, 1:30-2:45PM EST
In today’s food system, narratives shape how communities, funders, and policymakers understand the value of local organizations. For community food groups, storytelling is more than communications—it’s a strategy to highlight the critical roles they play, the gaps they fill, and the tangible contributions they bring to their communities.
In this session, we’ll explore the difference between narrative and storytelling and how to use both to strengthen your organization’s voice. Participants will learn how to craft narratives that reflect values, goals, and impacts, and how to navigate challenging topics like climate change and DEI with confidence. We’ll also discuss how group narrative development can foster shared talking points on pressing issues and how stories can be deployed across multiple channels—from fundraising briefs and grant applications to media pitches, legislator information sheets, and social media.
