Insert graphics in composer

I keep having problems with inserting graphics into the Composer. Today I inserted a few graphics, but then inserting was not possible any more. Often it works, sometimes no chance. I haven't found out the reason yet. The graphics are in the same folder as the html file. I make sure that I always save the html file first before I insert the graphic. I would be very grateful for any hints.
