2.53.17 in specific is known to work with Ventura version 13.5 [1],
although it's possible there is an issue with address book
integration [2]. But there have been incompatibilities in the recent
past, so, if possible
- Test new SeaMonkey releases (with a separate profile, and
installed/unpacked in a separate directory) before upgrading your
SeaMonkey install.
- Because new macOS releases within Ventura have introduced breakage
before, do not install macOS upgrades without first checking if these
are known to be compatible, or if there are known issues.
Compatibility issues have in the past been discussed or mentioned in the
SeaMonkey newsgroup (alt.comp.software.seamonkey) and in the MozillaZine
web forum [3], so if you are not checking one of these already, it may
be helpful to follow at least one of these.
(Regarding testing new releases of SeaMonkey for compatibility with your
system, if you have the time to do so, please try to test the betas too
and report issues with these, as that will help with knowing there is an
issue earlier, before the final release happens. Depending on the issue,
it might allow the corresponding final release to include a fix.)
