Hi All,

I have SeaMonkey 2.53.14 on MacOS 10.9.
While running it updated itself to 2.53.18 and hung. A restart did not
work, of course, since 2.53.18 is compatible only with 10.11

The best would be, of course, to try to make a build with 10.9. I wonder
if ti is too hard, originaly 10.9/10.10/10.11 were the same support of
Firefox.
At least, however, it would be better not to update to a version not
supported version.

Ideas and Opinions?

Just to confirm, you mean the auto-update feature from SeaMonkey itself
installed 2.53.18.2 over 2.53.14? Or was the update provided by
something else external to SeaMonkey? (Some sort of script or package
manager?)

2.53.14 is indeed the last build compatible with MacOS 10.9, and the
current code can't be built for 10.9.

Yes, that is the case. SeaMonkey tries to update itself to a version not
supported by my OS.

Do you know what is missing? maybe it can be made compiling... it would
be nice.
I  build SeaMonkey on FreeBSD.. never tried on Mac, but perhaps with
MacPorts it is not difficult.
