Does the "spark.cassandra.connection.host" support multiple IPs or just 1 ? ( documentation seems to point to a single IP )
If it is just 1, how do I handle the case when that particular host in the cluster is down for whatever reason but the cluster is still working ?

Thanks,
Radu

if I may ask what did you do in Nebraska - I'm sure the summers were nice but winters OMG. I've been to North Dakota once, but never Nebraska.

1) That value is used for the initial contact point so it's only used for the original connection. After connecting it will grab metadata for the rest of the hosts so it can handle node failures.

2) You can also specify multiple contacts "ip,ip,ip" but this is still only used in the initial contact.

Thanks Russell,
if I provide a list, and the first one fails, will the next be chosen from the list ? I'm looking for a way to handle the initial case when the first connected host is down. I understand that once a successful connection is made the connector obtains the topology and the ip list is not necessary anymore.
