connection refused

to DataStax Java Driver for Apache Cassandra User Mailing List

Hi, I'm new on cassandra.

Recently I got this error:-

Connection error: ('Unable to connect to any servers', {'127.0.0.1': error(61, "Tried connecting to [('127.0.0.1', 9042)]. Last error: Connection refused")})

cqlsh error, please hit enter

It's work before but suddenly this error pop out. Any body can help?

I'm on OSX.

Hi jay,

If you're using cassandra version >2.1 then you should start cqlsh with host-ip.

use the ip address you mentioned in rpc_address.

For any doubts refer these.
