Driver tries to reconnect to a contact point based on its resolved IP, not its original DNS name.

I met same issue as https://datastax-oss.atlassian.net/browse/JAVA-1522 and fixed by added a config option: https://github.com/datastax/java-driver/pull/1101 JAVA-1978: Add a config option to keep contact points unresolved

I want to know if the CPP drive has this fix. thanks

Hi Yunzhi Shi,

I noticed you also created CPP-759 (https://datastax-oss.atlassian.net/browse/CPP-759). Currently there is no fix on this issue for the C/C++ driver. As you are the creator of this ticket you should be automatically notified of any updates as they occur for this issue.

See that CPP-759 is still open.  Are you aware of any K8S config or client config that can help work around this (as alternate option to restarting the client)?
