SCOPE: Campus Wi-Fi Infrastructure
IMPACT: All Wi-Fi operations will be migrated to the secondary location to allow maintenance of the power distribution at the primary site and maintaining Wi-Fi services.
DESCRIPTION: All Wi-Fi control operations, access point connections, and client connections will be migrated to the secondary location platforms. As a result, all users will experience a break in service, as their devices will need to acquire new network addresses. Depending on the client device, this could be anywhere between 1 and 30 minutes, if no actions are taken. Users could restart their Wi-Fi on their local device or reboot the device to make restoration faster.
