IMPACT: Widespread disruption of campus network connectivity
DESCRIPTION: Working with campus facilities, power was restored to the Sutardja Dai MDC network core around 3PM yesterday afternoon. Since that time the Berkeley IT network team has continued to monitor the situation and resolve any remaining network issues. Overnight we reset Wi-Fi in most campus locations to ensure that it was functioning well.
Service has been restored for all locations. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with campus partners to understand the cause of the power failure and take necessary actions to prevent its recurrence.
