SCOPE: WAPs/Switch refresh - Physics North and South Buildings

IMPACT: Some users connected to wireless network may experience one time loss of service for about 15minutes. Users and devices connected on wired network will experience intermittent outages while cable connections are being migrated from existing switch to new switch.

DESCRIPTION: The existing Wireless Access Points (WAP) will be replaced with higher capacity WAPs. To support the power requirement for the WAPs, the switches connecting the WAPS will also be refreshed. This is part of a campus wide wifi refresh project (PRJ0046528) aimed towards an improved user experience in network services.

SCOPE: Root Switch Refresh & Bringing Network Architecture up to Campus Standard

IMPACT: Buildings (at different times during the maintenance window) will experience transient outages on wired connections and about 30 minutes on WiFi connections when the uplink cables are being migrated.

DESCRIPTION: Install a new root switch with support for 10G on all ports and higher port density to replace existing root switches in buildings 194 and 400 (Library). Existing connections in the different TRs in the library will be migrated to the new root switch in BDF.
