Dear,
Currently we have several as needed Medical Social Worker needs located at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General. Staff hired within these needs can transfer into the full time needs that will be presented in about 6 months. The full time needs will be great for new grads in in alignment with graduation. Are the correct person to connect with in relation to relaying this to the students?
Medical Social Worker (2920) – As-Needed Schedule
Shifts Available:
- Weekdays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts), minimum 3 consecutive days preferred
- Weekends: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts, Saturday & Sunday)

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
- Experience: 6 months (1,000 hours) in a healthcare setting (can include supervised MSW field placement)
Desirable Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or home health social work
Key Responsibilities
- Mandatory Reporting: Timely completion of reports for CPS, APS, elder abuse, and domestic violence
- Home Visits: Assess client living environments for safety and service needs
- Financial Screening: Evaluate eligibility for public assistance programs
- Clinical Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to address psychosocial and medical needs
