Subject: Associate Therapist Opportunities at Equitable Mental Health Clinic

To: UC Berkeley – School of Social Welfare

I'm reaching out from a Bay Area nonprofit focused on equitable mental health, Alchemy Community Therapy Center, about two opportunities that may be of interest to your soon-to-be or recent MSW graduates.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and if you'd be able to pass these opportunities along. We'd be happy to offer an info session to anyone interested on your campus, which we've offered before at universities where there's a large interest in what we do.

  1. Associateship Training: Alchemy Community Therapy Center (in Oakland, CA) is now accepting applicants for our 2-year associate therapist program. This is a paid employment opportunity for those who live in the Bay Area and are gathering post-graduate hours towards licensure. We'll begin administrative onboarding for our next cohort in November, with a plan to start training in December. You can find more at alchemytherapy.org/associateship

  2. Online Ketamine-Assisted Therapy CE Training: Enrollment is now open for Alchemy’s 7-week ketamine therapy training course, for those who are hoping to delve into this modality, but can't commit to a 2-year employment. It’s online, so you can attend from anywhere or watch the recordings after. Students within a year of completing their graduate program are welcome to join, as well as recent graduates, pre-licensed providers on their way to gatherings hours, and licensed providers. All proceeds go to supporting our nonprofit mission of providing equitable psychedelic therapy.

Our training is grounded in a harm reduction, social justice, and depth psychotherapy framework. As a nonprofit focused on psychedelic equity, we specifically hope to bring in providers who work with diverse populations, or want to support an organization that does. For those who need it, we have payment plans and a limited number of scholarships as well.
Feel free to share my contact info with anyone who has any additional questions.

Thank you!
