Volunteer Recruitment Announcement for Tattoo Removal Clinic
We are recruiting motivated volunteers to help lead and manage a weekly (alternating Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings), free tattoo removal clinic in downtown Oakland that will offer free tattoo removal care for people whose tattoos interfere with reintegration post incarceration, gang involvement, sex trafficking or other life transitions. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in managing community health services, work directly with clients, and collaborate with a dedicated team of volunteer medical professionals from UCSF and other Bay Area healthcare organizations. There are opportunities to take on meaningful leadership roles—such as clinic coordination, volunteer training, outreach, fundraising, and operations—making this a great chance to build leadership skills while supporting Bay Area community members. Anticipated student commitment is 10 hours/month (including two 4-hour clinics/month + between clinic administrative work.) For more information about the program, check out our website. If interested, please submit a volunteer application form.
