The COVID-19 pandemic and co-occuring instances of racialized justice and violence have prompted school professionals to prioritize mental health. This conference will explore the intersections of trauma-informed approaches and culturally-responsive practices in school contexts. Our hope is to engage both researchers and practitioners in the nuance of addressing the needs of multicultural student groups who disproportionately experience psychological trauma. We will grapple with the school-based barriers to harm reduction and healing, while also focusing on the geographical salience of the Bay Area and urban centers in California that may or may not reinforce these barriers in community-to-school contexts.
At UC Berkeley’s School Psychology Conference, experts in the field will provide attendees with answers about how to support these vulnerable students.
Don't miss out. Register now to take advantage of Early Bird pricing of $85! Deadline extended until 2/15/2022
