Hi all,

After a successful transition of power through democratic means, not at all using violent force or illegal seizure of power, I have taken over the presidency. I'm proud to introduce your new president, Ryan Shaw, and your new vice president, Ning McKenzie. Learn all about us and how our regime will not be tyrannical or iron-fisted at all at our...

First General Meeting: Thursday, January 25, 6pm
Did you make any New Year's Resolutions to become more involved? Finally taking that one math class you've been dreading and need to be distracted by being social and eating free food? Come out to our first meeting! We'll be introducing our revised officer staff, going over some events for the semester, doing a fun knot theory game, playing some board games, and best of all, bringing you all free pizza.

Math 74, Transition to Upper-Division Mathematics:
Our deposed leader, Cailan, will be teaching a really awesome seminar this semester geared towards those who need an introduction to the mechanics of upper-division math, such as writing proofs and understanding abstract concepts. I highly encourage you to visit this seminar if you're in 104 or 113 and think you feel lost or unprepared. All the information is available here, and there's an interest form which you should use to sign up. A syllabus is also available at the link, and the class begins the week of the 29th.

Office Hours:
Our office, 938 Evans, will be open starting next week every day from 10am-4pm. The office was renovated over the break, and it is now an office designed for the future: it features a whiteboard instead of a blackboard, as well as new chairs. Visit us to chat with an officer or discuss the largest prime known with fellow math enthusiasts. Our food and hoodie stocks should be also replenished within the next few weeks.

Best,
Ryan
