New Logo, Student-Faculty Dinner, Cal Day Volunteers

There's so much exciting stuff happening, we decided to send out a mid-week update on everything. Here are your mid-week announcements:

MUSA Logo:

After debates and discussion among the officers as to what our new symbol should be, we finally decided on our design.

Congrats to Andrew DeLapo! Your check is in the mail. (If the image above isn't loading, I've attached both versions of the new logo to this email.)

Student-Faculty Dinner: Thursday, April 26, 6pm

Our semesterly student-faculty dinner is happening next week! It's a, uh, dinner between students and faculty. If you've ever wanted to eat cuisine from Angeline's while chatting about life with your favorite professor, this is your chance. Tickets are $10 until Tuesday the 24th and are $15 afterward. There are a few ways to purchase tickets:

• Easy way: Venmo @MUSA-Berkeley $10/$15 indicating you are purchasing a ticket and send us an email (mu...@math.berkeley.edu).
• Intermediate way: Visit our office during our usual hours and give us $10/$15 in cash or Venmo and our present officer will put your name down.
• Challenging way: Purchase a ticket for $15 at the door on Thursday. There will be a limited supply, and first-come first-serve, thus the challenging aspect.

As always, there'll be good food, raffle & prizes, and even probably alcohol. ID required for any partaking of wine.

Cal Day Volunteers

We could always use more help on Cal Day! MUSA now has a table on Sproul Plaza so we can recruit prospective students and make them as optimistic (or pessimistic) as possible about coming here and doing math all the time. If you're interested in volunteering for tabling or helping out with children's activities in 1015 Evans, email Joshua Lin (joshua...@berkeley.edu). (I've said this before, but it looks great on MUSA officer applications that you've done volunteering for us!)
