ATTEND THE 2024 BERKELEY MDES GRADUATE EXHIBITION: “VEINS OF THE COSMOS”
Friday, December 20, 4-7 PM
Join us for the highly anticipated Berkeley MDes 2024 Graduate Exhibition, Veins of the Cosmos. Taking over two floors of Jacobs Hall, this showcase features 33 captivating installations—the culminating capstone projects of this year’s Master of Design cohort.
The theme, Veins of the Cosmos, embodies the graduates' vision as designers stepping into the vast unknown, channeling their unique creative potential. “Like veins vital to a body, we see ourselves as essential conduits, shaping the ever-evolving world with creativity, vision, and purpose,” the cohort explains.
This event is free and open to the public; refreshments served! Please RSVP to attend.
Jacobs Institute Innovation Catalysts Grant Program Applications Open for Spring 2025
Every semester, students bring a wide range of innovative projects to life at Jacobs Hall and throughout Berkeley’s vibrant design ecosystem. The Jacobs Institute Innovation Catalysts, made possible by Deborah Weisser, Ben Gomes, and the Eustace-Kwan Family Foundation, is a student grant program that provides an avenue for these ambitious student innovators to unlock further potential in their projects. Berkeley students are invited to propose projects that they aim to develop over the course of a semester. Selected grantees will work on their projects with the support of resources from the Jacobs Institute and CITRIS Invention Lab, and as part of a cohort of fellow student innovators. Apply today!
