Stop by Jacobs Hall for the Winter Design Showcase—a two-day rotating installation of projects, prototypes and research, highlighting the fall semester accomplishments of our students.
Over the course of these two days, students will showcase work from more than 10 DES INV (design innovation) courses hosted at Jacobs Hall, including one Master of Design core course. Also on display will be club projects, individual passion projects, and innovative prototypes developed by the Institute's FA24 Innovation Catalysts grantees. RSVP to attend
ATTEND THE 2024 BERKELEY MDES GRADUATE EXHIBITION: “VEINS OF THE COSMOS”

Join us for the highly anticipated Berkeley MDes 2024 Graduate Exhibition, Veins of the Cosmos. Taking over two floors of Jacobs Hall, this showcase features 33 captivating installations—the culminating capstone projects of this year’s Master of Design cohort.
The theme, Veins of the Cosmos, embodies the graduates' vision as designers stepping into the vast unknown, channeling their unique creative potential. “Like veins vital to a body, we see ourselves as essential conduits, shaping the ever-evolving world with creativity, vision, and purpose,” the cohort explains.
This event is free and open to the public; refreshments served! Please RSVP to attend.

The Berkeley Master of Design (MDes) is a cutting-edge graduate program, combining technical rigor, design theory, and social practice to equip students with the skills needed to shape the 21st century. Co-offered by Berkeley’s College of Engineering and College of Environmental Design, this three-semester program prepares you to innovate with purpose in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Berkeley Innovation x Notion x Adobe Designathon

In partnership with Notion and Adobe, Berkeley Innovation is hosting a one-day designathon, scheduled for December 8th from 10am - 5:30pm at Eshleman Hall in the 5th Floor Senate Chambers! This is a great opportunity for UC Berkeley designers to show off their creativity, improve their human-centered design skills, win prizes, and learn from industry professionals. All designers will be split into teams of 3-5, chosen through the RSVP form or randomly sorted. Pizza and sandwiches will be provided (with free Redbull and other refreshments too)!
