danah boyd is a Partner Researcher at Microsoft Research and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Georgetown University. Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and society, with an eye to how structural inequities shape and are shaped by technologies.

Exhibition sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes long, and are "show and tell," science fair-style at a table. You can choose May 8 or May 9. Through exhibiting you’ll have a chance to 1) user test and  2) receive valuable feedback, and 3) make friends and connections.  Apply here by April 20, 2025.

Intelligent Systems Engineer (Part-Time)

Job Description:

eTopus is looking for highly motivated, collaborative, and articulate engineers. As an Intelligent Systems

Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and implement advanced intelligent solutions that

enhance the operational productivity of various departments across the company. This is a unique

chance to apply your skills in real-world industrial settings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and

gain experience working on practical applications of intelligent systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Work with different teams (R&D, Operations, Sales, etc.) to improve workflows and efficiency of

company operations.

• Build smart internal tools using large language models (LLMs) and AI techniques.

• Write Python code to automate tasks; develop user interfaces; and deploy AI applications across

the company.

• Deploy and improve tools based on team feedback and usage.

Basic Requirements:

• Studying Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• Strong interest in using AI to improve work productivity.

• Good Python skills

• Experience with AI/ML projects, or applications working with LLMs and prompt engineering

• Knowledge of neural network models like CNN, RNN, or Transformers.

• Comfortable working with data tools (e.g. Numpy, Pandas); MySQL experience is a plus.

• Experience building simple web tools (e.g. with Flask or React).

• Curious, proactive, and enjoys solving real problems with tech.
