ATTEND THE BERKELEY CERTIFICATE IN DESIGN INNOVATION INFO SESSION

The Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation (BCDI) assumes that innovation does not come from just one area of study, but requires the integration of many modes of technology, knowledge, and thought. The cross-disciplinary, cross-departmental partnership between the College of Environmental Design, the College of Engineering, the Haas School of Business, and the College of Letters and Sciences Arts and Humanities Division hopes to guide undergraduate students across UC Berkeley’s campus to the critical need for design thinking, regardless of their major.

Join us for a Zoom Information and Q&A Session on Friday, September 8th, 11-12pm, to learn more about the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation and have your questions answered by the BCDI Advisor. RSVP here.

*Zoom presentation will be recorded and distributed to the BCDI mailing list.

**During the Live Q&A, students can submit questions in the chat section of the Zoom presentation.

For more information about BCDI, please visit our website at http://bcdi.berkeley.edu and/or email the BCDI Advisor, Tyshon Rogers with any questions at tro...@berkeley.edu.

September 7: Futurefarmers: Presence As Practice

This week at Design Field Notes: Amy Franceschini, artist and designer, and the founder of the international working group Futurefarmers.

Founded in San Francisco in 1995, Futurefarmers are artists, architects, computer programmers, designers, farmers, scientists and anthropologists with a common interest in creating work that calls into question the social, political and economic frameworks in the contexts in which they work. Futurefarmers is known for creating playful entry points and tools for participants to gain insight into deeper fields of inquiry – not only to imagine, but to engage in and initiate change in the places we live. Their design studio serves as a platform to support art projects, an artist in residency program and their research interests.
