Dear Colleagues, Students and Former GARD Participants:

A couple announcements:

  • The deadline for GARD26 Travel Grants has been extended to 1 December 2025.
  • If you are interested in leading a workshop or have an idea for a workshop at GARD26, please email Deb Miller (dmil...@utk.edu) before 1 December.  A workshop proposal is not required, just a brief summary of your ideas.
  • The Call for Abstracts will be released in November – keep an eye out on the GARD26 website for the Call and Abstract Template. You can also contact Leon Grayfer (leon_g...@email.gwu.edu) with questions.
  • Abstract Submission Deadline will be 1 February 2026 and will not be extended.
  • Registration will open in January 2026 (early bird deadline is 15 March).
  • For participants that require a travel visa, we encourage you to apply now.  GARD26 can provide a participation letter if needed.
  • We encourage participants to book your hotel room now – there is limited availability at the GARD26 rate!
  • If you are willing to be a GARD26 sponsor or know of someone or an organization who might be interested, please contact me (mgr...@utk.edu).

Lastly, please follow us on Bluesky and check the GARD26 website periodically for updates!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Knoxville!!

Cheers, Matt
