Subject: Save the Date GARD26
Dear Colleagues, Students and Former GARD Participants:
The 2026 Global Amphibian and Reptile Disease (GARD26) Conference will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA from 8-12 June 2026. Please distribute the attached “Save the Date” notice to others!
An “under construction” website has launched: https://tiny.utk.edu/gard26 . Please check periodically for updates! Hotel rooms can be booked now for a discount (Group Code = GARDC), and registration will open before 1 January.
Other than email, GARD26 will be using Bluesky for communication: https://bsky.app/profile/gardconference.bsky.social (please join!)
The call for travel grant applications is open and closes 1 November 2025.
Also, we are seeking volunteers to lead or participate in the following committees. Some folks have volunteered already…but we need more help, with younger and more global representation!
Please let me know by Thursday, 11 September, if you are willing to help on one or more of these committees. Involvement by students and early career professionals is encouraged and essential!!
We look forward to another professionally rewarding and fun GARD Conference! Dede Olson recently published a paper on GARD24 for those who haven’t seen it yet.
All the Best,
Matt
