We invite prospective students and faculty, as well as current GMS students and faculty affiliates, to join us for lunch at our Fall 2024 open house! For current GMS students and faculty affiliates, we look forward to reconnecting in person. For prospective GMS students, we would love to meet and talk with you about the Designated Emphasis (a PhD minor) in Global Metropolitan Studies. Currently enrolled PhD or MS/PhDs from any department on campus who have not yet taken their qualifying exam are eligible to join the GMS DE. Faculty and students participating in the DE come from departments across campus, including in engineering, the humanities, planning, and social sciences. Come to learn about funding opportunities through the GMS DE and GMS research initiatives during the 2024-2025 academic year.
