Hello EdEon Supporters,
Registration for the Eclipse Megamovie Team meeting—affectionately known as EclipseCon (hosted by the Eclipse Megamovie team at EdEon STEM Learning at Sonoma State University) closes TODAY Wednesday March 18th so click here to register now! If you need a hotel room, our hotel room reservation block has been extended to 3/19 so it's not too late to plan a visit to beautiful Sonoma County - our weather is perfect right now...
For those of you that are in the local Bay Area and cannot attend EclipseCon but would like to join our special field trip to the Robert Ferguson Observatory on Monday night 3/23, you are in luck! We just found out that we can offer to the public for $25 - just use promo code RFO25 in the Box Office to register for this unique opportunity. The Sonoma County Amateur Astronomers will present on astrophotography and we will view the night sky with the three RFO telescopes. Bring your curiosity and your camera, computer, and tripod. This also applies for an in-person attendees of EclipseCon that would like to bring additional guests to RFO - please register & pay for each additional guest using the same Box Office link.
We are excited that the direct links to purchase our EclipseCon t-shirts and Eclipse Megamovie posters are now live! Because this merchandise is attached to our EclipseCon event they are only available to buy now until Tuesday 3/24 when our event ends. If you are in-person, you can pick up your merchandise directly from me (we have poster tubes available) or we will arrange for shipping to you if you are not in-person.
As always, stay up-to-date on the details at our meeting website https://visit.lbym.org/eclipse-meeting/, where you’ll be able to register for EclipseCon, see our detailed program of events, and plan your travel.
EclipseCon is our chance to celebrate our shared successes, swap and level-up lessons learned about capturing scientifically meaningful images of the solar corona, and recharge our collective passion for eclipses and the natural world. We’ll also look ahead—preparing for future eclipses across the globe and dreaming up science education events that light up our communities.
Let me know if you have any questions at all!
Cheers,
Darlene Yan
