Download the Eclipse Megamovie App!

Dear Megamovie Friends,

The Eclipse Megamovie Mobile app is now available for iOS! To download the free app, visit the App Store or Google Play Store. You can use the app to plan your trip, countdown to totality, and practice your eclipse photography. In the Android version (and coming soon to iOS), you can now also take test shots of the moon in the Practice Mode. And if you are planning on photographing the partial phases of the eclipse too, you can use the app (as well as a solar filter!) to take test shots of the sun right now.

Finally, the Sky & Telescope article featuring Eclipse Megamovie mentioned in the last newsletter can now be found online. Authors Hugh Hudson and Mark Bender from our team explain the project, the science behind it, and how to participate. 

Remember, the final deadline to apply to be an official Megamovie Photo Team member is quickly approaching! Sign in at eclipsemega.movie by Sunday, August 6th to participate in the necessary training.
