Hello again everyone!
Happy Monday, and I hope your weekend was just as happy, if not more so! I am writing to send out a one-week reminder for our next volunteer meeting, happening next Monday (August 26th) at 5pm
PST, 7pm CST, 8pm EST. We will have students from a Machine Learning
class led by Sonoma State University's Professor Gurman Gill present on
their work thus far with the EM2017 eclipse photograph dataset.
If you're interested in learning more about the Heliophysics Big Year and what math has to do with it all, there is a webinar for that! The NASA HEAT flyer is attached to this email, but here's a quick blurb about the webinar, happening tomorrow, August 20:
"Many things are controlled by cycles, such as every September we start a new school
year. There is also the ‘Cycle of Life’ that begins at birth and ends at death. This month we will explore our sun’s life cycle and how today’s Sun is different from yesterday’s Sun and tomorrow’s Sun."
See you next Monday, eclipse friends!
Hannah :)
