Dear Megamovie Friends,

Have you officially registered to be a Megamovie Photo Team photographer yet? If not, the last day to apply is Sunday, August 6th, 2017. But it’s best to apply as soon as possible so that you have all the time and training you need to be ready for the eclipse.

If you do not plan on taking pictures with high-end camera equipment as a part of the official Megamovie Photo Team, you can use your smartphone to capture photos of totality instead. Our special app, Eclipse Megamovie Mobile, can help you prepare for smartphone eclipse photography. It is currently available on Android, with iOS coming soon.

Finally, if you’re uncertain about participating in the project at this time or really want to keep things simple, don’t worry, you can always upload your photos of totality to our website after the eclipse.

Also, check out the National Park Service's map of national park units and trails located along the path of totality. If you are headed to one of these park units to view the solar eclipse, click on the park’s marker to see its website and eclipse-viewing event page. You can also look through all the related Eclipse 2017 events happening at the NPS sites.

Thanks as always for your support - and remember, the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse is only 44 days away. Are you ready?!
