FYI: IGF 2026 MAG Cycle: Timeline, 1st Open Consultations & MAG Meeting, Upcoming Calls

Dear APrIGF community,

 

I am pleased to include the IGF 2026 Draft Timeline and the attached calendar invites for upcoming MAG calls. MAG calls are generally open to the public and will be available on the IGF calendar once updated https://intgovforum.org/en/calendar.

 

Recognizing that the community is very interested to know and prepare for the call for proposals and other MAG intersessional work – please do take note of the dates in the timeline. Highlighting part of the message from the IGF Secretariat below, the First IGF 2026 Open Consultations & MAG Meeting will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 24-26 June 2026 in hybrid format.

 

Looking forward to working with the APrIGF and wider APAC community to get us all to the 2026 IGF.

As we begin the 2026 MAG cycle, we are pleased to share the attached indicative IGF 2026 timeline, which provides an overview of key milestones and planning steps in the lead-up to the annual meeting in December.

 

We are also pleased to confirm that the First IGF 2026 Open Consultations & MAG Meeting will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 24-26 June 2026 in hybrid format. Further logistical information will be shared in due course.

 

Leading into the meeting in Nairobi, we are sharing calendar invitations containing Zoom links for the upcoming virtual MAG meetings on Wednesday 3 June, 9.00 UTC & Wednesday 17 June, 12.00 UTC (2026 members will have received these separately as well).
