I would like to inform you that I have already started filling out the application and am close to completing it. However, I noticed the requirement regarding “I agree to share accommodation.”

I would like to inform you that I have already started filling out the application and am close to completing it. However, I noticed the requirement regarding “I agree to share accommodation.”
I feel some hesitation about this condition, as it relates to personal privacy. If agreeing to shared accommodation is mandatory, I regret to say that I may need to withdraw my intention to participate in the fellowship program.
I sincerely appreciate all the guidance and cooperation from the Secretariat, and I remain grateful for the opportunities and information shared.

I hope you are all doing well as you finalize your submissions.
Regarding the recent discussions concerning accommodation, I would like to offer some friendly advice based on my understanding of the process. Please note that I am not a member of the APrIGF programming committee, so this should not be taken as an official response.
I understand that shared accommodation can be a concern for some applicants, as these arrangements generally involve gender-shared rooms. If this is a concern for you, you may have the option to arrange and purchase your own private accommodation at the venue or elsewhere. While I believe this is a viable alternative for those who require more privacy, we should ultimately wait for official clarification from the Secretariat.
In the meantime, I strongly suggest that you complete and submit your fellowship application before the deadline to ensure you remain in consideration for the program.
