Hi frisbee friends,
If the recent warm weather has you looking forward to spring, then mark your calendars for the opening of spring registration! For our Sunday division, registration will open THIS SUNDAY, February 9th at noon. Registration will be open for 3 weeks. We are sharing information for our women’s division below and will send a follow up with information on registration soon!
Don a hat and some gloves and come join us in the ~refreshingly brisk~ weather to run around in a field and throw plastic at each other! But don't worry about mud: we're on turf - whoo!
- Open to all players
- Outdoors on the turf field at Father Gabriel Richard High School
- 10 weeks (March 16 - May 18)
- Cap-and-Fill format (registrants will be split into a mixed league and an open league)
- Goal is for the mixed division to be a 50:50 league, but the format will match team make-up
- 112 spots; 56 in mixed and 56 in open
- $60 per player
All types of players are welcome. Man Matching Players (MMPs) will indicate their preference for mixed or open. The first 28 Woman Matching Players (WMPs) to sign up will be placed in the mixed league and can pull one baggage buddy into mixed.
Thursday woman-matching league
We're excited to test out a new format for WMP league this year, outdoors at Fuller Park! We’re hoping that moving back outside and bringing down the cost will make this more accessible for more players! We look forward to lots of feedback on this change so we know what's working and what's not working when we plan future seasons.
- Open to all woman-matching players
- 6 weeks (April 10 - May 15)
- Format is 7v7, and total numbers will determine team formats.
- There will be a clinic Thursday April 3 with Maya Grumeretz to learn some basics about the game, do some drills, and play some mini to get touches!
New leadership in Ann Arbor Ultimate! 🎉
We’re super psyched to welcome Alli Chizmadia on board as a director! She’ll be joining Charlie Andreasen, Tim Berasley, and Ryan Donnelly in running the back-end of the operation. We're also thrilled to welcome I.B. Mourad onto the captains committee! Since the winter season, I.B. has been working alongside Jonathan White and Maaike Wielenga to help select and train our team captains! Find out more about Ann Arbor Ultimate leadership here.
