NIST GenAI Challenge Announcement

Hello all,

NIST has launched the 2025 GenAI Image Challenge.

This is evaluation challenge designed to determin which generative AI models are capable of producing synthetic content that can deceive the best discriminators as well as humans?

There are two tracks:
The Image Generators (Image-G) task is to automatically generate high-quality images given a statement of information needed ("topic"). https://ai-challenges.nist.gov/pub/GenAI_Image_Generators_Specification.pdf

The Image Discriminators (Image-D) task is to detect if a target output image has been generated using a Generative AI system or a Human. https://ai-challenges.nist.gov/pub/GenAI_Image_Discriminators_Evalplan.pdf

The program welcomes and encourages teams from academia, industry, and other research labs to contribute to Generative AI research through the GenAI platform.
