Collection of buggy hardware designs

Dear Software Assurance Community,

 

The Software Assurance Reference Dataset (SARD) has been a community resource for almost 20 years: https://samate.nist.gov/SARD/.

 

We propose to establish an analogous collection of buggy hardware designs, to be called Secure Hardware Assurance Reference Dataset (SHARD). The main goals are to (1) help develop hardware assurance tools and (2) help users evaluate tools. Another goal is to help students learn about hardware bugs.

 

If you might be interested in using SHARD, please let us know. If you know of anyone who would be interested, please forward this email to them.
