Dear all,
I hope you're doing well.
I'm happy to announce NIST PQC Seminars # 19 which will happen TOMORROW at 10 a.m. US EDT (Eastern Daylight Time, Washington D.C., UTC-4) on Friday September 20th, 2024. Please find more details below.
Please find the Zoom invitation below this email, alternatively you can click the talk's name on the NIST PQC Seminar website:

### Title ###
Hamming Quasi-Cyclic
### Abstract ###
HQC (Hamming Quasi-Cyclic) is a code-based encryption scheme based on coding theory, which security is reduced to the Syndrome Decoding problem in the Hamming metric for random Quasi-Cyclic codes. A key feature of HQC is that the code used during the decryption process is public, and can thus be chosen for its performance alone, regardless of whether or not it can be masked.
In this talk we will review the latest version of HQC, and in particular, the choice of concatenated Reed-Muller and Reed-Solomon codes for decoding, the performance of the scheme, and the analysis of its decryption failure rate.
### Speaker and Affiliation ###
Dr. Nicolas Aragon, University of Limoges, France
### Mini bio ###
Nicolas Aragon is an associate professor (Maitre de conférences) at the University of Limoges, France. His main research interests are code-based cryptography, both in the Hamming and the rank metric, as well as the implementation and side-channel resistance of cryptographic schemes.
