Hi,

Jintai Ding and his students have kindly brought to my attention that the graphs
Signature Size vs. Public Key Size,
included as a part of my October 27, 2020 Round 3 Seminar Talk,
had incorrect signature sizes for all variants of Rainbow.

The source of the mistake was that the signature sizes, expressed in the Rainbow specification in bits, have been interpreted as representing the respective sizes in bytes. This error affected only slides no. 103 and 104.

The revised version of my slides (in PDF) is already posted at
under
"Implementation and Benchmarking of Round 2 Candidates in the NIST Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardization Process Using FPGAs" (Media: Presentation).

For your convenience, I am also attaching the Original (incorrect) and Revised (hopefully correct) version of the affected two slides.

My apologies to the Rainbow team for this unfortunate and inadvertent mistake!

If you notice any other errors in these particular graphs or on any other slides in this presentation, please do not hesitate to bring them to my attention!

Thanks a lot!

Kris
