Submission deadline:Â June 30, 2025
(Conference without proceedings)
Â
NIST will host the 6th NIST PQC Standardization Conference on September 24-26, 2025, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The event will focus on discussions surrounding the post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, including both the selected candidates and those under evaluation. Additionally, NIST will invite submission teams from the 2nd round of the onramp to present updates on their algorithms.
Â
In addition, NIST is soliciting research and discussion papers, surveys, presentations, case
studies, panel proposals, and participation from all interested parties, including researchers,
system architects, implementors, vendors, and users. NIST will post the accepted papers and
presentations on the conference website after the conference; however, no formal proceedings
will be published. NIST encourages the submission of presentations and reports on preliminary
work that participants plan to publish elsewhere.
Â

no longer than five pages and should include possible panelists and an indication of which
panelists have confirmed their participation.
Â
Please submit the following information to pqc...@nist.gov:

All,
We apologize, but we would like to move up the submission deadline for the Call for Proposals for the Sixth PQC Standardization Conference. Instead of June 30th, we are now going to make the submission date June 16, 2025. As a reminder, the conference will be September 24-26, at NIST, in Gaithersburg Maryland.Â
We’re making this change to ensure that authors of accepted papers have sufficient time to make travel arrangements ahead of the conference, and to give us a little bit more time with the conference planning logistics.
We appreciate your interest and look forward to your submissions! If the submission deadline change will cause a real problem for you, please let us know so we can try to work something out with you now. Please let me know of any questions. Thanks,
Â
Dustin Moody

NIST plans to hold the 6th PQC Standardization Conference from September 24–26, 2025, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In August 2024, we published the first three post-quantum cryptographic standards, and work continues on additional standards needed to protect against future quantum computers. The conference will bring together stakeholders from academia, industry, and government—including submission teams from the candidates under evaluation—for in-depth discussions and collaborative engagement. As part of this event, we aim to foster a workshop-like atmosphere to support the ongoing development and refinement of the PQC standards.
