Dear all,
we would like to invite you to MAgiCS26, the Workshop on Migration and Agility in Cryptographic Systems. The workshop takes place on 10 May 2026 at the Città Universitaria of Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, as an affiliated event of Eurocrypt 2026. Registration is handled via the Eurocrypt 2026 registration page, and we encourage you to register early.
Cryptographic migration, particularly in the post-quantum setting, is a challenging and largely unsolved task in practice. It sits at the intersection of applied IT and cryptographic engineering, and addresses two fundamentally different audiences: practitioners operating real-world data centers and cryptographic engineers designing and implementing cryptographic systems. While numerous post-quantum migration projects are underway worldwide, there is comparatively little research on the general structure of such migrations and on how to suitably model cryptographic migration and agility. MAgiCS26 aims to serve as an international nucleus for the research community working on formalisms, methodologies, tooling, and protocols for cryptographic migration and agility – including topics such as maturity models, hybrid solutions (classical + PQC, multiple PQC schemes, QKD + PQC), CBOMs, key lifecycle management, formal verification, and secure legacy support.
We are excited to announce our keynote speaker:
* Axel Poschmann: "Designing a Post-Quantum Root of Trust: The Hardest Migration Problem You're Not Aware of"
The technical program further features ten contributed talks organized in sessions on CBOMs, Migration, Benchmarking, and Agility, covering topics from formal models of cryptographic migration, PQC migration frameworks, and IT infrastructure digital twins, to ML-DSA benchmarking, post-quantum blockchains, and agile API design.
For the full program, the list of accepted papers, and further information, please visit our website: https://magics-workshop.cs.hs-rm.de
We look forward to seeing you in Rome!
Best regards,
The MAgiCS26 Organizers
