Auto populate users?

Hi all,

Wondering if there is a way to add an entire department of users at once? We have 77 we'd like to add. Do I need to do this manually? :\

Hi Joshah,

You can add users in bulk using a CSV file in the API.

For that, you'll need to make sure you have the CSV parser enabled in your settings.py:

Then your column headers have to match user fields, which can be seen in the "users" part in the API. Administration -> API -> users

The required fields are "first_name", "last_name", "username" and "email"

Finally, the file can be uploaded in Administration -> API -> users -> "file import" tab
