Hello,

We have some question about the program.

Hopefully you could answer them. We’re planning to use the software, however we have some question based on the docker file and tests we did sofar.

  • Checking -  checkout equipment by staff member before handing over the equipment to the reserver, This because of extra explanation, comment or other stuff. Also when checkin by staff he could check the equipment before approving the return of equipment.
  • Group user to resource (Qualified groups), Is it possible to make groups to a resource. Then it would be easy to add people to certain resources instead of for every resource add a user.
  • Is there a possibility of LDAP authorisatie and also a MFA tool.
  • search within category while for instance adding tool. This would make the search easier for user and staff.

Hope to hear from you

Hello Marcel,
  1. There is currently no way to check or validate a piece of equipment before and after a user uses it in NEMO. However, comments, Standards Operating Procedures etc. can be added to a tool in NEMO. You could also go to NEMO and schedule an outage for a tool after each use, although that would probably be pretty annoying.
  2. If I understand correctly, you are asking if there could be a way to create a group of users, and then qualify the whole group for a tool at once? That doesn't exist at the moment, but you can use the "Administration -> Qualifications" page and look for multiple users and multiple tools and then qualify or disqualify all.
  3. There is a built-in LDAP authentication backend in NEMO. As for MFA, I would suggest you look at the NEMO-Allauth plugin https://pypi.org/project/NEMO-allauth/ which has support for external authentication with MFA support (like Google, Keycloak, etc.)
  4. Which pages would you want to see this for? it could be difficult to implement
I hope this helps and that I understood your questions correctly
Thanks,
Mathieu
