Hello all,
The Ohio State University is currently evaluating NEMO for replacing several other systems that are currently managing various labs around campus. While it looks like it should be a fairly good fit from our evaluation so far, I have some questions regarding interlock and badge reader usage, as well as how this has been implemented in a multi-lab environment. As I'm sure I'll have many followup questions as well, it may be easier to schedule a quick call with anyone who is willing to share their experience. The general gist of what we'd be looking to know is...
- What does your setup look like for kiosks, tool interlocks (preferably one of the supported ones by NEMO out of the box) and RFID/Badge readers for managing user login to the kiosk? How easy is this to implement and maintain once it is in place? While we are currently not looking at this for door/room access control, it could be a potential offering in the future depending on what labs decide they want.
- For using NEMO with multiple labs, do you have one install of NEMO for all of the labs together, or separate it out for each lab with their own install? As each lab would need their own list of users for both tool maintenance and billing that should be scoped to just access on that lab.
While this is being sent from a personal email due to the google group, please send any replies if you are willing to have a chat about your installation (and any advice for a group newly installing NEMO) to
