Main Menu Items

Hi all,

New here. Just got our dept NEMO setup. I only have Calendar, Safety and Admin at top menu and no icons on landing page. I see where I can add landing page icons. Is there a way to auto populate these? Under Customization/Safety I see a tick box for Show Main Menu Item. I don't see this option for any other item. Thanks for the help!

Hi Joshah,

Welcome and congrats on setting up your first NEMO instance!

Some of the top menu options only appear if they make sense. For example, if you don't have any visible tools, you won't see the tool control main menu, etc.

For dashboard icons, you need to set them up in Administration -> Detailed administration -> Landing page choices to fit your own facility needs.

We provide some icons in https://github.com/usnistgov/NEMO/tree/master/resources/icons

As for the urls, you can use the main urls found in https://github.com/usnistgov/NEMO/blob/master/NEMO/urls.py

If you want to see an example, you can check the demo website setup:

https://nemo.nist.gov/demo/admin/NEMO/landingpagechoice/

You'll have to remove the /demo/ from the urls however, i.e. use "/calendar/" etc.
