Dear threshold cryptography friends,

The NIST Workshop on Multi-Party Threshold Schemes (MPTS) 2023 will take place as a virtual event, on 2023-September-26–28.

This is being organized in a short time-frame, before publication of the final version of NISTIR 8214C, to collect further feedback about the NIST Threshold Call and process.

Live attendance. Virtual attendance is free but requires registration.
Short presentations. We are seeking submissions (till September 5th) of abstracts (max 350 words) for short presentations (15 min or less), aiming to provide:
  1. feedback to improve the final version of the Threshold Call (NISTIR 8214C); or/and
  2. comments to motivate/facilitate community participation in the upcoming process.
How to submit an abstract: fill the submission form (PDF) [see the last two pages] and send it by email to workshop-mpts2023 (at) nist (dot) gov
  • Submission deadline: 2023-September-05
  • Notification with decision of presentations: 2023-September-12
Example cases in which we'd like you to consider presenting at MPTS 2023:
  • You are considering possibly submitting (in 2024) a threshold scheme or gadget in reply to the NIST Threshold Call.
  • You have suggestions for improving the threshold call document (NISTIR 8214C).
  • You are aware of technical challenges that should be considered in some subcategory of submissions.
  • You have general technical suggestions for the community of potential submitters.
  • You have previously submitted written public comments (for past related publications, such as NISTIR 8214C, NISTIR 8214B, Call 2021a, NISTIR 8214A), which would be useful to reiterate for more awareness by the community of possible submitters.
For other "suggested topics for presentations", check the event webpage and the call for abstracts.

Thank you!
