I have received a number of reports of no response to a request for time to one of our servers. I have opened a trouble ticket with Verizon to investigate whether this is a network problem. If you have experienced a significant number of dropped requests, please send a report to me at
Judah....@nist.gov giving the IP address that submitted the dropped request and the output of traceroute from the system that submitted the request to the time server.
The traceroute output is very important, and Verizon may not provide much help without it. Please include the text of the trouble ticket:
VZUM220002 in the subject line.
