NIST fingerprint database SD302 available

The NIST Special Database 302 fingerprint database is now publicly availabe. To read about the database go https://www.nist.gov/itl/iad/image-group/nist-special-database-302.  There is a link on the page to request the database. 

In September 2017, the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) held a data collection as part of its Nail to Nail (N2N) Fingerprint Challenge. Participating Challengers deployed devices designed to collect an image of the full nail to nail surface area of a fingerprint—equivalent to a rolled fingerprint—from an unacclimated user, without assistance from a trained operator. Traditional operator-assisted live-scan rolled fingerprints were also captured, along with assorted other friction ridge live-scan and latent captures.

I need fingerprint database access to download grayscale latent fingerprint images for my research.

You need to go to the website https://nigos.nist.gov/datasets/sd302/request to fill out the request form for the database.  After you have filled out the form correctly it will be review by a person at NIST and a link will be sent to the email on the request form for you to download.  You will need to use an email address from a university, institution or organization to get the download.  Please see requirements on the request form for approval.
