Hello ;)

I have a question about Contam simread.exe.

When executing contaminant simulation in Contam, a .sim file is created, and when opening with simread.exe as shown in the figure below

The dos window is created as shown below. Then, we get the choices: 1. for ctm by rows and nodes by columns; or 2 for nodes by rows and ctm by columns:

I would like to always set it to "2" for this question.

However, the DOS window should not be opened.

In short, can I prevent a dos window from being opened when opening a sim file with simread.exe?

simread is a command line (or console) program.
Typically, I copy simread to a desired location, open a console to that directory, and type "simread" for instructions on use shown below.

simread - Read a binary CONTAM results file (.sim) and output to text files.

    Usage: simread <input-file>
<input-file> is a path to a .sim file.

You will be prompted to select the data to read from the .sim file and be converted to text.
Output files will be written to the same location as the .sim file and
depend on the responses to the program prompts.
Automated processing of .sim files can be accomplished using a text file
that contains the desired responses to the interactive prompts.
      EXAMPLE: simread myprj < responses.txt.

You can also call simread from within another script, e.g., Python, if you so desire.
