In CFD0, how are outlets configured and used?

I'm getting incorrect colours in my flood plots and I suspect it could be because I have no outlets. The tutorial doesn't mention anything about outlets in CFD0, so any resource/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

fyi - the main two issues I see in the image are that firstly, the wind velocity starting from the top look to eb around 3m/s+, even though I set the U value to be 1m/s. Secondly. there are some green lines running down the side of boundaries. I suspect this is due to improper boundary outlet conditions.
